Rebranding of the brand OLARIA

The tradition of ceramics in São Pedro do Corval dates back to prehistoric times, thanks to the existence of clay deposits with specific characteristics in this area of the Reguengos de Monsaraz Municipality, which have always motivated this activity.

Among pots, potters' wheels and ovens, we discover unique traditional utilitarian pieces that transport us to the ancient times when clay was molded to the needs of the work of the fields and humble lives in the Alentejo. São Pedro do Corval, with more than two dozen potteries in constant operation, is, par excellence, the largest pottery center in the country and one of the largest in the Iberian Peninsula.

One of the most traditional pieces produced in the potteries of this village is the hand-painted ceramic human figure, intended to represent the people of Alentejo. It is a small piece with a female and a male version. Both can function as containers - for example cruets - as the figures' hats are removable.

CARMIM allies itself with this picturesque pottery tradition, paying homage to the clay figures - and, consequently, to the people they represent - through Olaria wine. The image that we now present illustrates in an appealing way the connection between CARMIM and the artisanal traditions of the Reguengos region. Nor could it be otherwise. The genuineness we seek to obtain in our wines can only be matched by the genuineness of the people who harvest the fruit of these generous lands.

We believe that this new image - traditional and, at the same time, fun - appeals to a younger generation of wine consumers, who are looking for a light and uncompromising drink for moments of relaxation after a day at work.
