On October 25 was held the V Competition "Best Wines of the Alentejo" with the participation of 132 wines. The quality of the wines presented was remarkable, according to the national and international experts who composed the table of tasters.

The results were announced in the 2nd Grand Chapter of 2017, on November 18 at the Evora Hotel, in a ceremony that had a remarkable presence of Confrades. In the dinner that followed were also present the Confraternity of Moenga, the Confraternity Gastronomic of the Alentejo, the Confraternity of the Arinto of Bucelas, the Confraternity of Carcavelos and the Confraria Nª. Ms. of the Tagus. During the dinner, everyone present had the opportunity to taste the award-winning wines.

The Reguengos Reserva dos Sócios - Reserva Tinto 2014 - from CARMIM was awarded with a gold medal.
